Challenge: TaxSlayer Bowl is an annual college football bowl game that is formerly and better known as the Gator Bowl. After 71 years, TaxSlayer Bowl is the sixth oldest continuously played in college football.
The 2016 TaxSlayer Bowl/Gator Bowl Sports committee wanted to celebrate the rich heritage of the bowl game and it's history in Jacksonville through the design of the souvenir tickets and parking passes.

Solution: Inspiration from some of the earlier Gator Bowl tickets of the 1950's influenced my decision for the watercolor Illustration. Two of this project's mandatories were to include the bowl game trophy and a 71 in roman numerals. Tribute of the bowl's saga is reflected in the trophy through nostalgic bowl game images amidst a silhouetted downtown Jacksonville skyline.
